Extensions

The Extension List displays all Standard and Cloud extensions assigned to the PBX, showing:

  • Status: Peer status indicator (online, offline, not configured)
  • Extension: Extension number
  • Name: Display name for the extension
  • Type: Extension type (Standard or Cloud)
  • Route To: Routing destination
  • Outgoing Caller ID
  • Mailbox: Mailbox number

Reserved Numbers: 211, 311, 411, 511, 611, 711, 811, and 911 cannot be used for extensions.

This screen allows you to:

  • Search by Extension or Name
  • View and edit Extension Details, SIP Peer Status, Routing & Configuration, and Voicemail
  • Delete an extension

The list is now sortable:

  • Click a column header to sort ascending.
  • Click again to sort descending.

  1. Enter the Extension number or all/part of the Name in the Search box.
  2. Click Search to display matching results.
  3. To clear results, click × in the Search box.

Click Cloud in the left panel to view only Cloud-type extensions.
Cloud extensions have no physical device; they route calls and provide voicemail.


  1. If necessary, search for the extension number.

  2. Click the Extension number or the Edit link on its row.

  3. On the Extension Details screen, update fields as needed:

    FieldDetails
    Extension Number1–6 digit reference number within the Customer Portal
    NameShort reference name; displays as CID on internal calls
    Seconds to RingTime before forwarding to voicemail
  4. Call Routing Tab: Configure incoming call handling.

  5. Find Me Tab: Set up call recipient location options.

  6. Advanced Tab: Control Dial-By-Extension:

    Disallow Dial-By-ExtensionPrevent dialing from Auto Attendant; routes by PBX only
  7. Voice Mailbox Section: Record or upload messages:

    Unavailable MessageHeard when not logged into the extension
    Busy MessageHeard when the extension is on another call

  8. Click Save when finished.
