Caller ID Routing
Custom Caller ID lets you configure an unported, off-network phone number for your customer’s outbound Caller ID. Configured numbers appear under Custom Caller ID on the Extension Detail screen.
Creating a New Customer Caller ID
Section titled “Creating a New Customer Caller ID”- On the Custom Caller IDs screen, enter the desired 10-digit number in the text box under the feature description.
- Click Add. The number appears in the list below.
Note: Must be valid, unported, off-network. Invalid entries trigger an error.
- Check I agree to the Terms and Conditions.
- Click Save.
- A confirmation message indicates the Caller ID was saved.
Assigning a Custom Caller ID to an Extension
Section titled “Assigning a Custom Caller ID to an Extension”- On the Extension List screen, click Edit for the desired extension.
- In Extension Details, open the Outgoing Caller ID dropdown. Your new Custom Caller ID appears under the Custom Caller ID heading.
- Select it.
- Click Save.
- A confirmation message indicates the extension was updated.
Removing an Unassigned Custom Caller ID
Section titled “Removing an Unassigned Custom Caller ID”- Select the unused number in the list box on the Custom Caller IDs screen.
- Click Remove.
- Check I agree to the Terms and Conditions.
- Click Save.
- A confirmation message indicates the Caller ID was removed.
Removing an Assigned Custom Caller ID
Section titled “Removing an Assigned Custom Caller ID”- Select the in-use number in the list box.
- Click Remove.
- Check I agree to the Terms and Conditions.
- Click Save.
A warning dialog appears, indicating the number is in use and requires substitution.
- In the dialog, open the dropdown and select an available number (Extension or another Custom Caller ID).
- Click Save in the warning dialog.
- A confirmation message indicates the Caller ID was removed and replaced.
