Auto Attendants
An Auto Attendant is a recorded greeting with menu options that route callers by pressing dial-pad digits. You can dial any extension or defined option.
Searching for an Auto Attendant
Section titled “Searching for an Auto Attendant”- Enter all or part of the Auto Attendant name in the Search box.
- Click Search to see results.
- Click × to clear the search.
Creating a New Auto Attendant
Section titled “Creating a New Auto Attendant”General Settings
Section titled “General Settings”Field | Details |

Name | Identifier for the attendant (e.g., “Main”, “After Hours”) |
Attendant Timeout | Time after greeting before executing the Timeout rule |
Digit Timeout | Delay (seconds) between key presses before connecting |
Announcement Selection
Section titled “Announcement Selection”Choose one source for the greeting:
- Record via Phone: Dial your extension, follow prompts, then Play to review.
- Upload a File: Select an MP3/WAV (≤10 MB).
- Default Recording: Use the system’s pre-recorded message.
- Mailbox: Pick a mailbox and message type (Busy, Greeting, Unavailable).
Button Configuration
Section titled “Button Configuration”For each dial-pad button:
- Select a Route To option.
- Choose the specific destination.
Note: Ensure you configure the Timeout button.
- Click New Auto Attendant.
- Complete General Settings.
- Select and configure your Announcement.
- Set up each button under Button Configuration.
- Click Save.
Editing an Auto Attendant
Section titled “Editing an Auto Attendant”- Click the name or Edit link in the Auto Attendant list.
- Update fields as needed (refer to creation steps).
- Click Save.
Deleting an Auto Attendant
Section titled “Deleting an Auto Attendant”- Click the name or Edit link in the list.
- Click Delete at the bottom of the detail screen.
