Creating a New E911 Location
From any Customer Level screen:
1. Click the Services tab in the Main Menu.
2. Click E911 Locations in the side menu.
The E911 Locations screen is displayed.
3. Click New Location.
The New E911 Location screen is displayed.
4. Enter Address information:
- This is the physical address where the phones, extensions, and softphones will be located.
- The address must match the United States Postal Service (USPS) geographical address for that location.
NOTE: If needed, get a properly formatted version of the address from the USPS ZIP Code utility tool (https://tools.usps.com/go/ZipLookupAction_input).
5. Associate one (and only one) Phone Number with the E911 Location:
- Select a Phone Number from the Phone Number box on the right.
6. Associate Extensions with the E911 Location:
- Scroll down to Associate With Phones
- Select the check boxes for all extensions that will be located at the E911 address.
7. Click I agree to the Terms and Conditions check box.
NOTE: You must agree to the E911 Terms of Service to add a new E911 location.
8. Click Save.
You are returned to the E911 Locations screen and a confirmation message is displayed.
9. Repeat Steps 1-8 for every E911 Location required for this customer.
Viewing and Editing an E911 Location
From any Customer Level screen:
1. Click the Services tab in the Main Menu.
2. Click E911 Locations in the side menu.
The E911 Locations screen is displayed.
3. Click on an address in the list.
The New E911 Location Detail screen is displayed.
4. View and/or edit the Address and Associate With Phones sections as needed.
5. Click I agree to the Terms and Conditions check box.
NOTE: You must agree to the E911 Terms of Service to modify an E911 Location.
6. Click Save
You are returned to the E911 Locations screen and a confirmation message is displayed.
Searching for an E911 Location
From any Customer Level screen:
1. Click the Services tab in the Main Menu.
2. Click E911 Locations in the side menu.
The E911 Locations screen is displayed.
3. Enter any part of an address in the Search box.
4. Click Search and the results will be displayed.
NOTE: To Clear the Search Results, Click x in the Search box.
Deleting an E911 Location
From any Customer Level screen:
1. Click the Services tab in the Main Menu.
2. Click E911 Locations in the side menu.
The E911 Locations screen is displayed.
3. Click on an address in the list.
The New E911 Location Detail screen is displayed.
4. Scroll down and Check the I agree to the Terms and Conditions check box.
NOTE: You must agree to the E911 Terms of Service to delete an E911 Location.
5. Click Delete to remove the E911 Location.
The Delete E911 Location? window is displayed.
6. Open the drop menu and select another E911 location to associate the phone number with.
7. Click Delete E911 Location.
You are returned to the E911 Locations screen and a confirmation message is displayed.
